OUR GOAL is to reach 3000$  by Monday June 5th, 2107 at 11.59pm

With your donation, we will be able to cover the theatre costs, promote our selected artists’ work, compensate the team and technicians who make IDACO nyc possible.   Your contribution directly implements our mission to support local and international professional artists and allows us to deliver exceptional and ground-breaking contemporary dance to new audiences.

Why supporting us - Performing arts play a critical role in our society and education system, they constitute a vehicle for values, believes, and new ideas. With your support, you will help give visibility to young artists, and foster contemporary dance, visual art and music, while offering a concrete opportunity for all participating artists to share their vision.

Challenges - IDACO nyc is committed to bring on stage sophisticated, high quality performances, that reflects the dedication and hard work of artists who entirely engage in the creative process. IDACO nyc curates a week-long festival including Dance workshops, creative residencies, thematic roundtables, site specifics, dance performances and an opening event at the Italian Cultural Institute, providing, in addition, the artists with technical support and staff, promotion and advertising. We address challenges head on, with a positive attitude, pushing forward to create a progressive and exciting dance festival

We are a group of Italian artists who are striving to build a creative community, to give voice to Italians’ aesthetic, perspective, and endeavour in dance. In 2014, we founded IDACO nyc, an innovative platform that facilitates a new dialogue between contemporary dance and art in the city

Our Mission is to connect Italian choreographers and artists, who live or visit NYC, with the local contemporary art scene. We want to create opportunities to build network, further artistic research, and couple with multiple creative resources. We aim to provide a solid artistic platform to bring cultures together, to integrate and expand the Italian contribution to American dance, and to cultivate our differences within a larger context of global identity.

The IDACO 2017 edition is interested in the intersection of contemporary art forms that can voice this year’s theme: “TransformAction" - how art is transformed in response to social and political changes that affect our lives.

What 25 companies including choreographers, visual artists, music composer, film makers will show the results of their artistic collaboration; the program will include a roundtable panel of discussions, an opening event, video dance screenings, dance workshops, site-specific events and performances

When & Where -  The IDACO nyc event  week will be on May 30 to June 4, 2017 at the  Italian American Museum (May 30), Italian Cultural Institute (May 31), Baruch Performing Arts Center  (June 2-3-4) in mid-town Manhattan.
