Dance is one of the prominent forms of non-verbal communication, through gestures and physicality it analyzes human behavior and expresses the voice of contemporary society.

IDaCo Mission

IDaCo is a platform and a container for the works of Italian artists or with an Italian component that succeed in creating unique and original scenic paths through body awareness, movement and the contemporary visual arts.

The Mission is to connect the Italian choreographers and Artists with the NYC contemporary arts scene, encouraging network, research and contamination with the multiple creative resources of the NYC performing arts field.

IDaCo objectives

• To encourage artistic creativity and industry among Italian artists working in NYC.
• To develop links and networks with national, regional and international artists and festivals.
• To promote italian arts and Italian cultural development within the American society.
• To improve artistic skills of youngs and mid-career choreographers.
• To produce and present new creations of Italian artists connected to the movement.
• To stimulate the use of different art forms in choreographic language (music, song, paintings, visual art, theatre and media art).
• To develop programmatic, governance, and fundraising frameworks to help secure organizational and financial sustainability of the dance platform in the long term.
• To generate employment and income for Italian artists and art managers from the performing arts industry, working in NY or having any connection and collaboaration with NYC artists.
• To develop database of Italian performing artists and italian art institutions

IDaCo donors and Sponsors Involvement

Donors and sponsors can be involved by:

• Providing venues
• Funding Italian artists
• Funding dance workshops & seminars/forums
• Providing technical support for advertising and stage setting.
